Meet Dan George

Dan George leads Purchasing and Supplier Quality at Proterra, bringing rigor and discipline to cost optimization, supply chain resilience, and strategic supplier partnerships. He directs Proterra's global sourcing initiatives and supplier quality strategy in support of the company's mission.

Dan is a supply chain and purchasing professional with more than 2 decades of experience across automotive OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. Through leadership roles at General Motors and BorgWarner spanning procurement, production control and logistics, customer relations, materials management, and supply chain operations, he has built a career on cost excellence, operational resilience, and the belief that the strongest supply chains rest on equally strong supplier relationships.

Dan holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Supply Chain Management from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Carolina University.
