Meet PJ Goodwin
PJ Goodwin leads Information Technology at Proterra, with responsibility for IT infrastructure, operations, cybersecurity, and technology strategy. He directs the technology organization supporting Proterra's operating divisions and U.S. sites, setting IT strategy, managing budget and vendor relationships, and owning the policies and controls that keep the environment secure and audit-ready.
PJ brings deep infrastructure and operations leadership to the role. Before Proterra, he spent over a decade with Immedion and IMS Solutions Group, where he ran 24x7 data center operations, delivered 99.9999% availability to hundreds of cloud and colocation customers, and earned SSAE 16 SOC 2 Type 2 certification year after year. Earlier, at Baldor Electric, he managed global infrastructure across dozens of plants and offices and helped integrate corporate systems following the Rockwell Automation Power Systems acquisition.
PJ holds a Master of City and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Relations, both from Clemson University, an unconventional path into technology that grounds his approach to building resilient, well-governed IT operations.
